Dry and gentle, or smooth and nectarlike, depending on the years and the amount of sunshine, Montlouis wines seduce even in their first year, due to a perfect balance of fruity roundness and slight acidity.

The Chenin varietal confers sound structure as well as aromatic complexity.

As they age, the still wines develop rich notes of bergamot, lemon verbena and a characteristic touch of almond.  Light and smooth, they have a bright golden colour and
with age, develop tones of honey, quince, dried fruit and even of exotic fruit, such as litchi in  the sweeter wines.

Stored at constant temperature and away from the light, their golden colour is enhanced.

The Cave des Producteurs in Montlouis wines are considered among the great wines of France.
